Horse Back Riding at the Collegiate Level
Erin Obremski discusses her experience with riding and how she got to the college level with the NC State University Hunt Seat Equestrian Team.
“I started horseback riding when I was three years old, and began entering shows at around seven. I’ve continued training and competing over the years, and last year participated in the NC State University Hunt Seat Equestrian Team. The hunt seat division is an English discipline that involves both flat work and jumping. NC State competes with other colleges throughout North Carolina and southern Virginia in the IHSA (Intercollegiate Horse Show Association) circuit. The team website and show schedule can be seen by going to clubs.ncsu.edu/equestrian.
